This necklace is a playful mix of ancient and modern. The pendant resembles a treasured artifact, dusted with 24 karat gold. Finished with a gold fill lobster clasp.

How to care for your Ethiopian opal:

Ethiopian Opals are "hydrophane", this means that they absorb water and when they do their appearance changes. If the Opals come in contact with water, they will soak it up it like a sponge. If the Opals are submerged in water and allowed to absorb it, they may lose their fire temporarily. The fire and color should come back once the opals have fully dried, this can take a day to a few weeks, depending on how much water they absorbed.

This piece was made by hand using natural stone beads, fine silver and 24 karat gold using an ancient technique called Keum Boo. Here are the care instructions for your new jewelry piece.
