Sustainability is something that is very important to me, I practice this in my everyday life. Here are some of the ways I implement sustainability at Rising Sun Jewelry.

The gold, gold filled and sterling silver is purchased from a company that puts ethical sourcing as a guiding principle in their business. They are certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council because they demonstrate commitment to ethical sourcing. This includes environmental, social, financial, and regulatory issues. The gold/silver is also recycled whenever possible. This company is also 100% solar powered and has been for over 10 years. This amazing company also refrains from selling illegal products like ivory and coral that increase poaching in the wild. The stones that I choose are mined ethically and I try to purchase locally as much as I can.

My paper goods are made from recycled materials and the paper has FSC certification, this means it ensures that the products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits.

My shipping is plastic free but if you find plastic in your order please know that it’s been re-used rather than thrown away. Please re-use whenever possible!

The ingredients I use for my beauty products are from a company in the US who is a completely zero-waste-certified business. It’s also a chemical-free facility and 100% organic. The containers I use can be recycled or even better, reused.

Here at Rising Sun Jewelry, I strive for sustainable, hand crafted jewelry that will last for generations. I will continue making changes that will positively impact our mamma earth.
